Durst Trucking (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit dursttrucking.com or contact us through it, how we use that information, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, you can reach us using the contact details at the end of this page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form or the quote request form on our website, we collect the information you enter:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your message, including any shipment, delivery or business details you choose to include
If you call or email us directly, we receive whatever information you share with us in that conversation, such as your phone number or email address.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some information automatically when you visit:
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the general location (city or region), the type of device and browser, and the website that referred you. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. It does not tell us your name or contact details.
- Security and server logs. Our website host and our security software record technical details of each visit, including your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use these records to keep the site secure, block abuse and fix problems.
- Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people from automated spam. Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser and device to do this check.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and quote requests
- Provide and arrange the trucking, delivery and warehousing services you ask about
- Keep business records of our communications with customers
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
- Keep our website secure and protect it from spam and abuse
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising on other websites.
How we share your information
We share information only with companies that help us run our website and business, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Website hosting and maintenance: the companies that host our website and the company that builds and maintains it
- Email delivery: Postmark, which delivers the emails our website sends, including the notification we receive when you submit a form
- Analytics: Google Analytics
- Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our website uses cookies to make the site work properly and, through Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and emails for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide our services and keep reasonable business records. Security logs and analytics data are kept for limited periods and then deleted or replaced. Website backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
How we protect information
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, security software and limited access for the people who manage it. No website or method of storing information is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s laws.
Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as partner and resource sites. We are not responsible for how those websites handle your information, so please review their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
